Penny Freeston

Penny was educated at Christ Church College, Canterbury and the College of All Saints, London. She was a primary teacher for twenty years and continues to tutor children and adults. In 2002 she was trained and accredited by the Life Coaching Academy and has recently attained a degree at the Open University in early Italian art history and creative writing.

She has written for a number of journals and magazines and edits The Hedgerow, a publication featuring local writers. She hosts a writers' circle from home and founded The Poetry Collective, a group that meets regularly to read poetry and also gives performances. In addition to other voluntary work, Penny raises money for a children's hospice by giving talks on a variety of subjects. She is the author of more than twenty books.

Penny's interests include travel and walking in the countryside. She is married with two grown-up daughters and lives in London near Epping Forest.
